Disability Support Workers play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide assistance with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

 Support individuals in accessing community activities, employment opportunities, and social events

 Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, well-being, quality of life and self-determination

  Maintain accurate and detailed records of support provided and any changes in the individual's needs or preferences

 Requirements

Experience working in disability support or a related field is preferred but not essential

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

 Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others

Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Willingness to undergo relevant training and development opportunities

Unrestricted driver’s license

Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle

This is a risk assessed role, we will require the following checks, clearances and training or the willingness to obtain:

NDIS Check

Working with Children Check

National Police Check (no more than 12 weeks old)

First Aid and CPR Certificate

All NDIS training modules
